Kim Cattrall blasts Sarah Jessica Parker on Instagram for ''exploiting'' recent tragedy

Grieving Sex And The City actress Kim Cattrall last night launched an astonishing attack on Sarah Jessica Parker - branding her former co-star "cruel" and a "hypocrite", and rejecting her condolences over her brother's death. It described an ongoing feud between the stars which culminated with a dispute over whether to produce a third Sex and the City movie, which Cattrall said she did not want to do.

Cattrall and her family are now mourning the loss of Kim's brother Chris. The accompanying caption to the message-driven image accused Parker of "exploiting" the tragedy as a crass attempt at image rehab.

"It is with great sadness that myself and my family announce the unexpected passing of our son and brother, Chris Cattrall", Kim wrote.

Not holding anything back, Cattrall added, "Let me make this VERY clear".

Sarah commented, "I can't begin to know how her family is managing such a loss".

"You are not my friend", Cattrall wrote in a message directed at Parker, less than one week after her 55-year-old brother, Chris Cattrall, was found dead at his home in Canada.

One passage in the article cites an example of the "mean girl" culture on a shoot in Atlantic City. Apparently, Sarah had reached out to offer her condolences to her former friend and Cattrall wasn't feeling it. I don't know what her issue is.

Alongside the surprise picture were more words from Kim to Sarah Jessica, which sparked strong reactions among followers. Parker rented a house on location for herself, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, who play Charlotte and Miranda, respectively - and that Cattrall was left out. Thank you for reaching out.

Publicists for Cattrall and Parker did not immediately respond to requests for comment Saturday.

However, Cattrall was quoted previous year as saying the Sex And The City cast were "never friends" and that Parker "could have been nicer" after she turned down the chance to play Samantha once more in a third Sex And The City film. It was a professional experience.

The animosity between the four original cast members of Sex and the City shows no signs of abating, running any hope for a reunion into the ground.
