Wendy Williams makes health announcement, puts show on hiatus

TV personality Wendy Williams revealed on her show Wednesday that she's been ordered to take three weeks off to focus on her health after being diagnosed with Graves' disease and hyperthyroidism. Williams also admitted that she did not have a period for an entire year. "By the way, as I speak to you, my ears are leaking because the push from the old medication needs to wear off before he prescribes new".

On her show, Williams told the audience that even before the diagnosis several concerned fans have been pointing out a symptom that is common in people who have the disease. 'What? Who are you? This was what led her to check in with the doctor.

Kim Kardashian and her sisters are finally looking forward to getting a break from the bashing they received from the tea-spiller.

Talk show host Wendy Williams has something to get off her chest, and this time it's about her and not an A-list celebrity.

Williams later took back what she said, and joked that she will be back on the show in two weeks.

Before this, Williams disclosed that she had known that she had issues with her thyroid, sharing that recently she had been feeling irritable and stressed, which made her decide to go pay the doctor a visit. "Are you serious? I'm just saying, I come from working class".

She admitted she has also experienced other concerning symptoms: "I feel like there are birds flying around my head". On a February 12 filming, she was seen stumbling into one of the audience while dancing.

"Wendy is a true champion and has never missed a day of work", her representative said in a statement.

She has since said on her show that her condition affects her balance and makes her feet unsteady.

"Producers wanted to have Angie Martinez guest host The Wendy Williams Show while she was out". According to TMZ, the veteran host is not open to having anyone replace her seat.
