Tiffany Haddish Will Host The MTV Movie & TV Awards 2018!

Haddish shared the exciting news in an Instagram video. She exploded onto the scene after her breakout performance in the blockbuster hit "Girls Trip;" recently released a New York Times bestselling book The Last Black Unicorn; and late a year ago became the first black female stand-up comedian to host "Saturday Night Live".

Tiffany Haddish, who overcame adversity to become a fast-rising star in comedy, will host the MTV Movie and TV Awards in June, the youth culture channel announced Thursday.

"That's gonna be off the chain", Haddish, said in the video with her usual enthusiastic charm. She is also the first female host since Amy Schumer served as emcee in 2015. Because you know why? In December 2017, she released her memoir, The Last Black Unicorn.

Haddish is also set to be featured alongside Tracy Morgan on The Last O.G which premieres April 3 on TBS. Haddish cried as Oprah praised her accomplishments. Following her breakout, critically acclaimed film, Haddish hung out with Beyoncé and JAY-Z, announced the Academy Award nominations, did Saturday Night Live with Taylor Swift and, as she told ET in February, was on the lookout for the future father of her children at Super Bowl LII!
