State of Decay 2 release date and pricing announced

The Standard Edition will be available for $29.99 Dollars and the Ultimate Edition for $49.99 USD. On top of the wonderful and close release date, fans are ecstatic about the price point. The game will release on May 22 for $29.99, with an Ultimate Edition costing players $49.99.

The major changes State of Decay 2 will introduce include a switch to Unreal Engine 4 and support for four player co-op, tasking players to work together to fight, survive and rebuild in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. The game is classified as a Play Anywhere title, meaning you can cross-save between your Xbox One and Windows PC. And don't forget the Ultimate Edition also includes upcoming DLC Packs.

State of Decay 2 is confirmed for release on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC in May, preorders are open now.

As for the unexpectedly lower price, Microsoft's General Manager of Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg claimed this has to do with building a community around the game. If you are subscribed to the Xbox Game Pass, you will be able to play State of Decay 2 as part of that service.

State of Decay 2, which made it onto a couple of our Most Anticipated 2018 Games lists, is the sequel to one of the unexpected hit zombie titles to come from the last generation and fans have been eagerly awaiting the official release date.
