Trump 'admits' Russian Federation election meddling

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven took issue with President Donald Trump's new tariffs on steel and aluminum during a press conference with the United States president standing just a few feet away.

Trump on Tuesday dismissed the notion his team was unraveling, saying he likes conflicts among his aides and that he has his pick of top talent for West Wing jobs. "I like watching it, I like seeing it". "They're going to a paper backup", he said. Cohn and others in the administration have been arguing against tariffs, but they appear to be on the losing end of a White House struggle. So not only do we lose on trade, we lose on military.

Trump's decision to impose tariffs on imported steel and aluminum have been met with heavy criticism from all sides of the political spectrum. But the president declined to discuss their relationship.

It is unclear when the tariffs would take effect, but it could happen as soon as this week.

As he made the threat, Löfven looked on calmly and said trade issues were the purview of the European Union (of which Sweden is a member).

Also last month, a senior communications official, Josh Raffel, who worked closely with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, left the administration. When we are behind on every single country, trade wars aren't so bad.

"We will straighten it out". "We haven't been given credit for this but we've actually been working very hard on the '18 election and the '20 election coming up". It will be a loving, loving way.

Vice President Mike Pence says the US will not alter its stance toward North Korea without evidence of credible, verifiable and concrete steps toward denuclearization.

As has become his practice, Trump called on reporters from right-leaning outlets - Fox News and the Daily Caller - for his two questions.

Trump has previously disputed troves of evidence that Russians interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

Trump has been keenly aware of how the tariffs may play in a March 13 special House election in western Pennsylvania, part of the nation's steel belt, White House officials have said. Certainly there was meddling.

"For me leading a small country, depending on open trade, the best way for us is to do that with others", he said.

Trump says he's not anxious about Russian Federation meddling in the 2018 midterm elections. You know, Sweden is I think the eighth-largest investor in the United States, and they like me very much because the market is up nearly 40 percent since Election Day, so I made a lot of these business geniuses look even better, so they like Trump, but, you know, it's been up very substantially, but I believe Sweden is about the eighth-largest investor in the United States, and that's quite an achievement.

"You have to be very vigilant".

Trump didn't give more specifics on how his administration would do that but did recommend states use a paper backup system to maintain voting integrity. "It's called paper. Not highly complex computers, paper".

The president also commended North Korea's presence at the recent Winter Olympics. I hope they are honest. Tell us what he said. Last week, Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) blasted the move and expressed fears that the aluminum tariff in particular would hurt his home state.

Trump explained that he believes North Korea is being honest because of the sanctions the United States has issued and help America has received from China.

Putin praised Trump as a great communicator who is easy to talk to, a man with whom "you can search for a compromise". "I thought North Korea was terrific". "Absolutely. There's an openness now", Perdue said.

Last month, Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian organizations, alleging that they worked to sow discord in the US and interfere in the election by waging "information warfare" through social media and other sophisticated tactics.
