Cloudy, chance of snow showers — TODAY'S FORECAST

Cold, gusty winds will be accompanied by snow showers into the first part of Friday. Less than an inch will accumulate today, but around an inch or so could be on the ground by daybreak Thursday as the scattered snow could last through the night.

Tonight: Snow showers likely. As a result, snow totals remain subject to adjustment, forecasters said. West wind 6 to 11 miles per hour increasing to 12 to 17 miles per hour in the afternoon.

KINGSTON, N.Y. Get ready for more snow, possibly a lot.

Motorists should expect hard travel conditions due to snow-covered roads and reduced visibility in many parts of the region. A heavy wet snow likely occurs through the rest of the day, primarily east. A few rain drops may mix with any snowflakes Thursday afternoon.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 55. Northwest wind 10 to 15 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour. Temperatures are in the lower to middle 40s.

Tuesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 46. Light and variable wind. A weaker secondary low may form over the Maritimes Saturday and circulate moisture across the Valley Saturday into Sunday, producing snow showers across the region. Low: 24. Day: Cloudy with a 100 percent chance for snow. Southeast wind 6 to 9 miles per hour. Snow accumulation is still expected to be less than one inch. Night: Cloudy with a 90 percent chance for snow. West wind 13 to 17 miles per hour.

Sunday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy skies and seasonably cool temperatures develop, with a high of 50 degrees.

Precipitation amounts this week will be light.

Snow showers will continue through Wednesday.

Friday: A chance of rain/snow, mostly cloudy, with highs into the lower 40's.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. High: 40s. Cloudy, with a low about 25. The chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
