Apple Schedules Education Event for 27 March 2018

Apple Schedules Education Event for 27 March 2018

The invitation has just a stylized Apple logo with a calligraphy or script feel, plus the hand written tag line and an added note stating we'll see "creative new ideas for teachers and students".

Apple is sending out invitations to an education event on March 27.

While that sounds pretty boring for fans of Apple's consumer products, there might be more in this event beyond the classroom. As a reminder, the AirPower mat will be able to charge any of the newest iPhones, Apple Watch Series 3s and the second-gen AirPods when they come out. Previous year the company introduced the new 9.7-inch iPad on March 21.

Earlier this month we heard reports Apple is planning a pair of new iPads for 2018 with Pro and standard models on deck.

Perhaps that'll mean some new low-end MacBook laptops (rumors still circulate that it plans to revamp the MacBook Air), or new iPads, which Apple seems convinced that students can use instead of laptops.

Apple has been testing iOS 11.3 on users for quite some time now.

Lane Tech College Prep High School in Chicago will host the event at 10am CDT on March 27.

It's unclear what products will be shown off at the event and the invite doesn't give us much to go on. Since the event is at a tech-focused high school, Apple could also announce a new education initiative.
