Rain, show showers possible beginning Sunday evening in Billings

It will be breezy overnight with wind gusts as high as 25 miles per hour.

Starting out the week we will a quick round of rain on Monday and again most of the day will be dry.

Expect plenty of sunshine today as high pressure settles in today and Monday. Highs today will be much warmer than yesterday, but still a bit on the cool side only reaching the upper 40s.

A slight chance of rain and snow will develop Sunday evening in the Billings area, while significant wet, heavy snow is forecast to fall farther east. Winds will kick up, out of the northeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 30 miles per hour, especially along the coast. Tuesday and Wednesday could be on the breezy side, but our skies will finally become less cloudy. Some thunderstorms are possible as well. The light showers will continue through tonight and will end very early Sunday morning.

Thursday will see a 30 percent chance of showers after 9 a.m. and a 60 percent chance at night with a high of 61 and a low of 46.

Rain chances continue on Wednesday morning, but a cold front blows through later in the day. Saturday will be dry with highs similar to Friday.
