Isco blasts Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane following hattrick for Spain

A regular fixture on the national teamsheet, yet one that is often on the fringes of the Real Madrid starting XI - Isco admits that he is not as optimistic when it comes to the club level, but hopes this latest performance will give Zidane something to ponder.

Argentina should have taken the lead, Gonzalo Higuain missing a brilliant early chance before Diego Costa opened the scoring.

Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi then scored a header from a corner in the 38th minute to get Argentina back into the match. "Whether I sign a new deal in summer or wait for another year, we will see".

Isco was in fine form for Spain on Tuesday night as he helped himself to a hat-trick as Julen Lopetegui's men ran riot against Argentina and recorded a 6-1 friendly victory, sending out a warning ahead of the summer's World Cup.

However, should Isco decide to up and leave the Santiago Bernabeu, Koke has offered the player a way out that wouldn't even require him to relocate homes - at rivals Atletico.

"In Madrid, I don't have the confidence a player needs", he said in his post-match interview as quoted by Marca via Sky Sports. Here I have the confidence of the coach. Maybe the problem is me, I haven't been able to win him over with the great players there are in the squad.

Isco has recently been linked with a move to Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola a huge fan of the playmaker and Isco keen to play under the Catalan coach, while Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have also been credited with an interest. "I want to show I'm a good player".

"Lopetegui gives me confidence with minutes, with games", Isco said.

"I have the confidence of the coach here (with Spain), I still have a lot of enthusiasm to work, to improve, to be a starter for my club and in the national team".
