Mkhitaryan: I didn't think twice about joining Arsenal - I'd missed playing offensively

I must say we have to see it in a way that it's an opportunity we want to take. "On top of that, what will decide the attitude of the crowd is the quality of our game", said Wenger.

Winning the Europa League is not only Arsenal's sole remaining hope of silverware this season but also their only realistic route back into the Champions League next term.

"Basically we have everybody available, I think", he said.

"I think always you judge a team by the way they come out of a crisis. If we have the same performance as we did in France against Lyon then we have a chance of making the semi-final".

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is perhaps the biggest link between the two teams and the Armenian was asked if his experience with Manchester United last season can help Arsenal in the Europa League this year.

"There are no easy teams to play".

The 21-year-old moved to Real last summer from Real Betis, choosing the Bernabeu over the Nou Camp due to better prospects of playing time, but ironically he has made just 19 appearances in all competitions this season.

Former Premier League striker Ian Wright has told SkySports he believes Tottenham Hotspur are the best club for young players right now. But because the mentality in the team is very good, strong and healthy we're recovered.

"We still have seven games to go and we need to try to get out of this situation, it doesn't matter how, we need to do something".

"Ideally you want the away leg first", said Wenger.

"Honestly, nobody knows really what's going on and it looks more to be diplomatic relations between England and Russian Federation at the moment are a bit complicated", Wenger said.

CSKA Moscow are expected to bring only around 500 fans and, while Arsenal are confident about their security arrangements, Wenger also outlined a hope that the heightened political tension between England and Russian Federation would not impact upon any supporter.
