Cats and dogs have united to face Modi flood: Amit Shah

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday credited party workers for taking the organisation to new heights.

Slamming the Congress president, he said, "When we lost two Lok Sabha seats (in Uttar Pradeh) recently, Rahul baba distributed candies".

Speaking at a press conference after the rally, Shah also made overtures to the BJP's bitter ally, Shiv Sena, which has resolved to contest the next election on its own strength.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Friday issued a clarification for his remarks on the opposition. As per the current schedule, five states - Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim - would go to polls along with the Lok Sabha election. His comments come as the Opposition continues to make efforts to form an anti-BJP coalition. And all the animals, be it the cats, snakes, mongoose, dog, cheetah and the lion, all take refuge on that tree to save themselves from getting washed away. "Similarly, our PM has created fear within the opposition, which is now teaming up to fight the BJP in the election", Shah had said. Rahul baba you question our intentions. They can not imagine that when we got the opportunity to elect a President on our own strength, we elected a person belonging to the Dalit community.

Congress communications in-charge Randeep Surjewala said Shah considers his political opponents as "dogs and cats" and that is due to arrogance that has reached his head. The leaders from Communist Party of India and Trinamool Congress hit out at Shah for his remarks and said that one does not expect this from the president of the ruling party. Assuring the cadres and the people the BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government will never scrap the reservation quota. "People of this country will give a befitting reply", he said.

During his speech, he insisted that the Modi Government had done a lot for all sections of the society and that the BJP will seek to win the 2019 Lok Sabha polls on the basis of work done rather than by making "hollow assurances".

"We are in politics for betterment of people". He recalled the contributions of the founder leaders who formed the right wing party "with the aim and ideology of "nation first". "So when the Uri terror attack (2016) happened, Modi avenged it withing matter of days by sending soldiers across Pakistan for surgical strikes", said Shah. All booth workers from the state, office bearers from the BJP cells for minorities, SC, ST, Other Backward Classes, women and farmers will also attend the rally.
