Iranian, Pakistani groups send aid to Syria

On Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Bahram Qassemi condemned the attack, which he called a "violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity" by Israel.

President Trump has vowed to react harshly from exactly what rescue workers and legal rights advocates are calling for a chemical weapons attack by Syria during the weekend which killed a large number of civilians. But it said the suffocations were the result of shelters collapsing on people inside them.

"When the Syrian regime continues to use chemical weapons against civilians with impunity, protected by Russian Federation and Iran, that line has always been crossed". It said Syria shot down five of them while the other three landed in the western part of the base.

The children of Eastern Ghouta, in the suburb of the capital Damascus, have already suffered through years of violence. Iran also could also push back against the United States in places such as Iraq, where U.S. troops are present.

Block said he understand why Americans want out of Syria but cautioned that "the consequences of a US decision to disengage in the region must not be underestimated". Syria, Russia and Iran have blamed Israel for the attack, which Tehran had initially said killed four military advisors.

Israel's foreign ministry had no comment when asked about the accusations. Trump added that a decision would be made in 24 to 48 hours.

While still not explicitly admitting to the T-4 base strike, Israel Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman said the Jewish state would not back down in confronting creeping Iranian hegemony.

Russian Federation and Syria have consistently denied all the allegations of chemical attacks during the seven year old Syrian war, and in this instance have accused the rebels of staging a "false flag" incident to trigger USA intervention.

Senior Israeli defense officials expressed serious concerns over the implications of last week's summit in Ankara at which the leaders of Iran, Russia and Turkey discussed the aftermath of the Syrian civil war and how the spoils would be divided once the hostilities conclude. It has investigated more than 70 cases of alleged toxic gas attacks in Syria since 2014.
