Carrie Underwood Finally Explains Gruesome 2017 Fall

The title track and lead single was released worldwide on April 11 and is the most added song at country radio this week, according to a news release.

Carrie Underwood is getting back in action. Her team chose to keep everything "music-focused", even though the suspense of her appearance had been stirring fans. To her, that's just a "natural evolution" as a musician.

The "Cry Pretty" singer didn't mean for her return to the public eye - after a fall at her home left her with a broken wrist and 40 stitches in her face - to cause such a frenzy.

The singer said that she kept details vague about the accident because she wanted to focus on her new music, first and foremost.

"At this point in my career, I feel stronger and more creative than ever", says Underwood. "And being a mom and a wife and trying to navigate what we do, every once in a while there's just a bubble-over of emotion. And sometimes you just have to cry, and it might be unattractive, and it might be a sad ugly moment, but it has to happen and it's OK". "I went to go survey the damage and was like, 'Oh no!'" Priorities! So that's why my left hand's fine. "There was one step and I didn't let go of the leashes".

Of her initial reaction to the fall, Carrie said, "I thought I just busted my lip".

Earlier this year, Underwood released the hit event anthem "The Champion" featuring Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges, which she wrote with Brett James, Chris DeStefano and Ludacris, and was produced by Jim Jonsin.

Omg! Carrie Underwood FINALLY revealed her wild scar after tragically falling past year - and you won't believe it!

"[I fell] around my mouth", she continued, adding that she was "very fortunate" throughout her healing process. I didn't know what it was gonna heal like.

She later addressed a statement she wrote to fans in a blog post back in January 2018, which read in part, "When I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different".
