Apple Releases iOS 11.3.1 to Fix Aftermarket iPhone 8 Display Issue

Apple Releases iOS 11.3.1 to Fix Aftermarket iPhone 8 Display Issue

According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple is likely to launch iOS 11.4 in late May or early July with support for AirPlay 2 and Messages on iCloud. iOS is not the only operating system that Apple has released updates for, with macOS getting a security update. Version 11.3.1 is quite small, but the update contains some important bug fixes and performance improvements. It has yet to be confirmed whether iOS 11.3.1 addresses these issues as well. As Apple explains in its release notes for the software, the update "addresses an issue where touch input was responsive on some iPhone 8 devices because they were serviced with non-genuine replacement displays".

In a separate note, Apple warns that non-genuine replacement displays can compromise visual quality and may not even work as they should.

The American company Apple continues to release new commercials, which compares your iPhone with the Android competitors. If you need to have your phone repaired or any parts replaced, make sure to visit either an Apple store or an authorized service provider, not just a random third-party agent. It is being speculated that the company was trying to scare the users so that they do not get their iPhones or the other Apple devices repaired from the third party fix stores. The update weighs around 47MB if downloaded as an Over-The-Air update.

While Apple at the time refused to comment on the debacle, it on Tuesday pushed out iOS 11.3.1 to rectify the screen unresponsiveness. Also, it is recommended to back up your data before beginning the update process. It fixes a memory corruption issue that could give an application elevated privileges. Now, click on Continue and wait until the update automatically installs on your device.
