Karnataka goes to the polls on May 12. "If anyone can change the government in Karnataka, it is the BJP", he said. A Congress-JD (S) alliance cannot be ruled out either but Siddaramaiah could become the fall guy as Gowda has reserved his harshest words for his former protege.

The Congress leader was referring to the Reddy brothers of Bellary who are facing a number of corruption charges, including illegal iron-ore mining. It says the list plays like an episode of "Karnataka's Most Wanted". The UP Chief Minister was in Karnataka to campaign for the BJP.

The Prime Minister added that the income of farmers had doubled under the BJP regime across the country.

Siddaramaiah also flayed Adityanath for being in Karnataka for electioneering when 64 people lost their lives due to a storm in Uttar Pradesh. This harsh remark from the chief minister came after PM Modi accused the ruling Congress government in the state for being corrupt. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses a rally in Tumkur and is scheduled to address rallies at Shivmogga and Gadag on Saturday.

Talking about the new State Congress president, he said, "The contest in Madhya Pradesh is between corporate supporters and farmers, and so the Congress will not be able to defeat the BJP".

On the other hand, a failure of the BJP in Karnataka would damage Modi's USP, making the general election battle more hard for the BJP.
