Melania Trump announces 'Be Best' campaign for child well-being

First lady Melania Trump unveiled her "Be Best" initiative on Monday, a campaign to help bring awareness to the most important issues facing the nation's children including overall well-being, social media and opioid abuse.

One reporter noted that the first lady is said to spend nights at her mother's home instead of the White House.

"In my time as first lady of the United States I will make every effort to "be best" at championing the many successful well-being programs in existence today and teach the tools for emotional, social and physical well-being", she said. Eighty-five percent of Republicans said they view her favorably and just seven percent said they had an unfavorable opinion.

President Donald Trump signed a proclamation declaring Monday "Be Best" day in honor of the first lady's new platform.

Former first lady Michael Obama's "Let's Move!" came 11 months in, while Laura Bush's "Ready to Read, Ready to Learn" came in month six.

Selection has recently been the technique in late months; Trump's public events have touched on everything from assisting kids fight negativity, to working with all the ramifications of opioid misuse on teens and becoming nice when using the social media marketing.

Mrs. Trump has a 12-year-old son, Barron, and has expressed her interest in children through numerous visits to hospitals and schools. "Just listen to your heart, but be yourself", she told them. "I want to help kids everywhere function as own best, so with assistance, we could achieve optimistic effects", the first lady said, before asking the kids to go about and introduce themselves and inform them their favorite hobbies.

Trump has promised to tackle cyberbullying as first lady, hosting major online and social media companies at the White House earlier this year.

"I am well aware that people are skeptical of me discussing this topic", Trump said.

Mrs. Trump took a little more time to pull her initiative together.

Grisham adds that the first lady will concentrate her initiative on the range of issues children face as they grow up and will not tailor it to a single topic.

During the assembly, the first lady appeared to deal with elephant in the room: her partner's frequent use of namecalling in his tweets.
