The major new feature which has been added in this build is the introduction of Dark theme for the File Explorer.

Researchers at Google's Project Zero revealed the Device Guard bypass on April 19 following failed attempts by Microsoft to negotiate a deferral of disclosure until the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, which was first released to Windows 10 users on April 30.

A year ago, there were numerous, though cumbersome ways to transfer a file from one PC to another: email, chat, saving it to the cloud, a USB stick, and so on.

Also on Tuesday, Microsoft issued an update for its Windows Server virtualization platform, Hyper-V. The setting is useful when you are wishing to paste something that is pasted before and for the settings you need to hit WIN+V, as opposed to CTRL+V, you'll be able to paste from the clipboard history. It does display images if you copied them to the Clipboard, however.

"To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker would first have to access the local machine, and then run a malicious program", Microsoft said in its advisory.

Secondly, Microsoft has not explained whether Alt-Tabbing between apps and browser tabs will work on a system-wide basis, or whether it will only allow for navigation between tabs that have been added to a particular set. After flipping back and forth between a specific Word document, and a specific Outlook email, lumping a dozen or so Edge tabs under a general icon looks a little weird. At its Build developer conference yesterday, Microsoft showcased what's coming for its Fluent Design overhaul of Windows and its applications, and there's definitely a lot of good news for people who like Fluent Design, developers, and yes, even power users.

Microsoft has expanded Search previews as of build 17666 to support apps, documents and more.

To turn on dark mode for File Explorer, go to Settings Personalization Colors.

In certain cases, searching for the app will trigger a submenu with additional options, such as the opening a URL or a file in your browser. "CVE-2018-8120 is an elevation of privilege vulnerability affecting Windows 7, Server 2008, and Server 2008 R2", said Wiseman. And, the built supports Unix/Linux line endings and Macintosh line endings.

Notepad has also become searchable via Bing.

Microsoft is also working on supporting different shapes for fly-out windows, for example, if you hover over a contact name on mail app, a contact card appears in a small flyout window.
