Thanos is coming to Fortnite

Thanos has proved a popular addition to Fortnite, at least in terms of social media presence.

Fortnite's Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup launched yesterday giving players the chance to drop into the game and grab the titular Infinity Gauntlet.

Thanos has the power of telekinesis, superhuman strength, telepathy, stamina, and durability just to name a few.

In this new LTM, players land on the Fortnite map and search for the Infinity Gauntlet, which is the all-powerful weapon wielded by Thanos, the main villain in Infinity War.

Epic announced the news in an update on Reddit.

"I would argue that the fan base could be equally upset with Thor, who chose to throw that ax into Thanos chest and not his head". Thus forcing the competing players elsewhere on the map, to have to form temporary alliances in order to take down the mad Titan, before they continue killing off one another. Now, the studio has made a decision to increase the Marvel villain's attacks with a slight buff, while decreasing his vitality in an attempt to better balance the mode for fans of the free-to-play Battle Royale portion of the game. Once acquired, players turn into Thanos and can reign absolute hell on other players in the game. Balance does not always equate to more fun.

SetToDestroyX absolutely dominated last week, and they showed an impressive performance with a high number of kills, but Luminosity controlled the late game and came out with the most points. Of course the nature of the game dictates which way this will fall. In this gamer's completely unfounded opinion, they brought out the nerf hammer a little too soon this time.

As Thanos, players can dominate in Fortnite thanks to a flurry of powerful attack moves and an expanded health and shield that can make him hard to eliminate. If so, which side of the argument do you fall on? Just hit the buttons on the top of this page.
