Cavaliers vs. Celtics Conference Finals Game 1 Betting Odds and Analysis

Tatum couldn't feel more different from opening night in Cleveland, and his first National Basketball Association game.

The Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers are set to kick off their series on Sunday afternoon with the victor heading to the NBA Finals.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are facing the Boston Celtics for the second year in a row, and third time in four years.

I know everybody is curious about where things stand with my rehab.

Embiid, who missed his first two seasons after being drafted in 2014 and suffered a knee injury last season, is expecting to make great strides after staying healthy and playing 71 games in the 2017-18 campaign.

Per usual, then, the Celtics will roll out their standard cast approach to covering James, who has averaged an NBA-leading 34.3 points along with nine assists per game in the postseason.

In the regular season, they split their first two encounters before Cleveland made it 2-1 with a 121-99 victory in Boston on February 11. These are some of the factors to look for when the Celtics and Cavs meet in the Conference Finals for the second year in a row. Both teams have had to battle injuries and drama throughout the regular season. "We've just got to show bodies and show our energy and length". They just play really hard.

The Celtics have already proven plenty this postseason, considering they're competing for a shot at the National Basketball Association finals without two of their most important starters. "They're coming off a hard-fought series, but still in all, we gotta go out there and be prepared, understand what we got to do, how great we feel when we play at home, and stick to what we know".

The Celtics have advanced despite not having their two best players in All-Stars Irving and Gordon Hayward, while the Cavs are still standing with new faces like George Hill, Jeff Green, Larry Nance Jr., Jordan Clarkson, Jose Calderon, Rodney Hood, Cedi Osman and Ante Zizic on the roster. What I like about the Warriors options is that they can rotate a lot of different players onto Harden and Paul so there's always a fresh defender. The fact that they are down two-star players, and are at the Eastern Conference finals, is a true testament to their great coaching.

The Cavaliers, who beat the Celtics in five games in last year's Eastern Conference finals, opened as 1.5-point favorites against the Celtics in Game 1.

"We don't want anybody on our side now", he admits.

"I don't know which one's tougher", Korver said. With Simmons inability to shoot, Horford played 10-12 feet off of him and when Simmons did try some drives to the basket Horford and the Celtic wings did a good job of walling off the paint. We chronicled their roller coaster ride for you at the start of the playoffs, but we'll go over it again because, well, SOUP! "It's a great place to play, especially in the playoffs". But it's just one of those things that's gonna bother me for a little bit. "They're communicating with us daily, and Johan (Bilsborough, the Celts' director of sports science) has been there two or three times".

Rozier, who said he "thinks" Irving will make the trip when the series shifts to Cleveland next Saturday, has been absorbing as much as possible from his mentor. "No matter how good you're playing or how bad you're playing, they're going to ride with you". The Cavs overhauled their squad midseason (Isaiah Thomas used to be on this team!) and looked to have one foot out the door in the first round, but LeBron James has put together one of the best postseasons of his career to be within striking distance of his eighth straight Finals. I just think with this group we have more depth in the positions suited more to guard LeBron.
