Elsewhere, the Mi Note 5 is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB storage. The Mi Band 3 is also expected to come with a heart rate scanner, sleep monitor and step counter. Turns out, it won't be the only new product that will be unveiled at the event: the Xiaomi Mi Band 3 will be introduced too.

The leaks also confirm that the Mi 8's face unlock system will sport infrared sensors.

After Mi 6, Xiaomi has skipped the Mi 7 and it has chose to go with the Mi 8 as this is Xiaomi's eighth anniversary. The smartphone is shaping up to be the most premium device yet from the company and is expected to bring 3D facial recognition and in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone will also offer animojis similar to Apple iPhone X's but cuter. Apart from that, leaked promotional images give us a better look at the design and back panel of the Mi 8.

The certification of this QC 4.0 also reveals that the Mi 8 supports the following protocols of Qualcomm fast charging standards, which are 5V/3A, 9V/2A, and 12V/1.5A, which outputs a max power of just 18W which seems weird, anyway. What are your speculations about this device?

Xiaomi has announced its event for May 31st, there's really not much left! Internal storage is at 64GB, and the smartphone is also listed to support dual-GPS mode. The image reveals the notch display, bottom chin, AI dual rear camera setup and the fingerprint sensor at the back.
