Pelosi dismisses Trump's claim she favors MS-13 as false

Trump spoke at the rally for just over an hour, largely focusing on consequences for illegal immigration and building a border wall, as well as record lows in the national unemployment rate, while skirting mention of the record mass shootings on American soil in 2018.

President Trump was in the Music City to campaign for Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn in her bid to replace retiring Sen.

Bredesen is, in fact, a popular former Nashville mayor and Tennessee governor, but he last ran for public office in 2006.

Pelosi criticized the President's use of the term "animals", although it appeared she was referencing reports that suggested Trump was referring to all undocumented immigrants.

Weeks ago, when Trump referred to MS-13 as "animals", Pelosi publicly rebuked him, saying to the press, "Does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person?"

"Tennessee needs a senator who is going to support President Donald Trump and I am going to be there to stand with President Donald Trump to take your Tennessee values to Washington, D.C.", Blackburn pledged.

"I don't want to cause a problem, but in the end, Mexico's gonna pay for the wall", Trump said of his signature campaign promise. He then said, "Crooked Hillary", and the crowd responded by chanting, "lock her up".

Blackburn is now a member of the House of Representatives, and is running to fill the Senate seat being vacated by retiring liberal Republican Bob Corker.

"He is a war hero because he was captured", Trump said.

The president again launched into one of his favorite talking points, the criminal gang MS-13, whom he has described as "animals" and claims have exploited immigration legislation to enter the country.

Very quickly Mexico replied: no we won't. "To keep on winning, you have to vote Republican in November".

"They make all of this money, and they do absolutely nothing to stop people from going through Mexico, from Honduras and all these other countries, the caravan, all of this stuff", the president said. "They do nothing for us".

President @realDonaldTrump: NO. Mexico will NEVER pay for a wall.

President Enrique Peña Nieto went to Twitter to issue a reply.
