- Roseanne Barr, via Twitter, before ABC's decision was announced.

Barr later informed said reruns of her sitcom had also been cancelled by other networks.

The swift developments rendered President Donald Trump at least temporarily mum.

Channel Ten has confirmed it has pulled Roseanne from the TEN and ELEVEN networks following racist comments made by the show's star, Roseanne Barr. "I'm fine. I'm anxious about all the people out there who don't have a circle of friends and followers who come right to their defense".

"Network Ten is appalled and disgusted with Ms Barr's racist tweet and has removed Roseanne from TEN and ELEVEN, effective immediately", the spokesperson said. "But I also think that every individual citizen has a responsibility too, and it's up to all of us to push back". "As long as they make us laugh, it's easy to forgive".

Roseanne Barr has returned to Twitter following the cancellation of her show earlier today.following her own racist Twitter rant.

She added another apology after seeing the many supportive tweets.

Tough decision with financial consequences for his company but right for America....umm.now don't bug Bob but maybe someone else find out if I'm still banned from all of @ABCNetwork for calling Roseanne Barr out first on her racist conspiracy tweets?

A TV mom with a successful reboot got her show canceled because of a single tweet. "I made a mistake I wish I hadn't but.don't defend it please".

Following ABC's cancellation notice, Barr's talent agency, ICM Partners, dropped her as a client. "Our goal was to promote constructive discussion about the issues that divide us".

"People of all races, religions and nationalities work at Sanofi every day to improve the lives of people around the world", reads the statement.

"I tend to be pretty forgiving to people who feel they can get a good show out there and keep the star in check, and you usually can, because a lot of stars can be problematic", said Garth Ancier, a veteran television executive who ran entertainment programming at Fox, NBC and the WB networks.

- ABC Entertainment chief Channing Dungey, in a statement. But much of its progress would have been threatened if it looked the other way at Barr's tweet. She criticized Democratic financier George Soros and tweeted that Chelsea Clinton was "Chelsea Soros Clinton", implying she was married to a nephew of Soros.

Barr tweeted the initials "vj" and the words: "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby".

The "Roseanne" revival this spring was an unexpected major hit for ABC.

"Roseanne" earned an estimated $45 million in advertising revenue for ABC through its nine episodes that started airing in March, according to Kantar Media. Trump had called her to congratulate her on the success of the rebooted show. "All of us should be working together and talking to people of different views", she said.

There was also CBS' firing of Charlie Sheen from "Two and a Half Men" during his freakish spate of behavior.

For some in the political sphere, the "Roseanne" cancellation was a welcome piece of news. "Hashtag NOT Winning. The runway is now clear for OUR reboot".
