Stormy Daniels arrested after OH strip club patron touches her

Stormy Daniels, the adult film star who alleges Trump's lawyer paid her $130,000 to keep quiet about an affair she had with the President in 2006, was arrested in OH on Wednesday night, TMZ reports.

While Daniels was performing Wednesday night at Sirens, a strip club in Columbus, some patrons touched her in a "non-sexual" way, Avenatti told The Associated Press. An arrest affidavit said Daniels allegedly inappropriately touched male and female undercover police officers after they threw cash in her direction.

Judge James P. O'Grady then signed an order which officially dismissed the case. Reached by The Post early Thursday, a representative for Sirens strip club declined to comment.

MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle spoke to Avenatti today about his view that the arrest was a "politically motivated" setup against his client. "The officers also observed Ms. Clifford fondling the breasts of female patrons", Franklin County Municipal Court records show.

Earlier this week, Daniels performed in Washington minutes before President Donald Trump announced his Supreme Court nomination. She was released on $6,054 bail and will be arraigned Friday morning.

A prosecutor's memo provided by Avenatti said an OH illegal touching law cannot be enforced because Daniels has only appeared once at the Columbus club. Avenatti tweeted. "Are you kidding me?"

"It reeks of desperation".

Porn actress Stormy Daniels was arrested Thursday and charged with violating a controversial and conservative-backed OH state law called the Community Defense Act, which prevents adult dancers from touching customers, and vice versa.

Daniels planned to be in Columbus Wednesday and Thursday as part of a nationwide tour, Avenatti said. We will fight all bogus charges.

There's still some confusion about what exactly happened inside the Sirens Gentleman's Club in Columbus, Ohio last night. According to a tweet from Stormy's laywer, Michael Avenatti, she has been charged with three misdemeanors, all of which Stormy will plead "not guilty to".

Daniels has been entrenched in a legal controversy with Trump over their alleged 2006 encounter, which he has repeatedly denied.

The Columbus Dispatch reported previous year that the 2007 law, introduced by a conservative religious group, was seldom enforced.

"She was arrested for allegedly allowing a customer to touch her while on stage in a non sexual manner!"

Just days before the 2016 election, Mr Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 (£98,400) in exchange for her silence.
