Trump dodges London protests for tea with Queen Elizabeth

Speaking to journalists today after playing golf at the Trump International Golf Links in Balmedie, Mr Trump Jnr said the "foolish proposal was now irrelevant".

Later, Trump and his wife attended a black-tie dinner hosted by May at Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill, before returning to Winfield for the night.

But it's unlikely the Trumps even saw them. "We have North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, then we have the United Kingdom, and then we have [Russian President Vladimir] Putin", Trump said, referencing his week-long stay in Europe.

It has also complained that 300 officers working during the visit will have to sleep on camp beds in a gymnasium that has no hot water and restricted access to hot food.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has come under fire for his approval of a blimp featuring US President Donald Trump dressed as a baby.

But Police Scotland said it could not grant permission for the balloon due to the tight security surrounding the President's visit, which includes air space restrictions around Turnberry.

She'll also be hoping Mr. Trump ignores the thousands of people protesting his visit.

They each have 4,000 square feet of floor space, including a Presidential suite with a large office and conference room, a medical suite that can be used as an operating room and two kitchen areas that can feed 100 people at a time.

Earlier this week Mr Trump said it was "up to the people" whether Prime Minister Theresa May stayed on after two cabinet ministers resigned within hours over her Brexit policy. "I believe that the people in the UK, Scotland, Ireland, as you know I have property in Ireland, I have property all over, I think that those people they like me a lot and they agree with me on immigration", he said.

After spending the night at the United States ambassador's official residence in Regent's Park, London, Mr Trump will join the PM at a military base tomorrow to observe a joint counter-terrorism exercise involving UK and U.S. special forces.

She said that Trump had shy supporters in the UK.

Mrs May noted that more than one million Americans work for UK-owned firms, telling Mr Trump: "As we prepare to leave the European Union, we have an unprecedented opportunity to do more".

Donald Trump has arrived at London's Stansted Airport and will meet the Prime Minister and the Queen.

Trump has been quick to criticize British society, telling a National Rifle Association convention in May that the British didn't have guns but had so much knife crime that one hospital was like a military war zone with its floors awash with blood, a false statement quickly rebutted by British physicians and politicians.

The two leaders will hold talks the following day at Chequers, the 16-century manor house which is the prime minister's official country residence.

Dozens of demonstrations are planned throughout the country with the largest expected to take place in central London on Friday. One person missing at the palace dinner, though, will be the queen, who will be hosting the president and first lady for tea at Windsor Castle on Friday afternoon.
