Apple launches faster processors on MacBook Pro

Apple launches faster processors on MacBook Pro

They also support up to 32GB of memory, pack a True Tone display and feature an improved Butterfly keyboard that's quieter and more reliable.

The company on Thursday announced the revamped 13- and 15-inch laptops which start at $1,799 and reach a whopping $6,699 for the most tricked out model.

Many of us were hoping Apple to update the MacBook Pro lineup during WWDC this year.

The 15-inch model received a MacBook Pro 6-core Intel Core i7 or i9 8 generation. It's also offering up to 32GB of RAM and 4TB of SSD storage. Apple has also added its True Tone displays available on latest iPhones, to the new MacBooks, which basically changes the color temperature of the screen based on your environment. There's also a revamped "third generation" keyboard that promises to be quieter and (hopefully) not a fragile. Unfortunately, these updates only affect the models with Touch Bars and there's no word as to if or when Apple will update the non-Touch Bar MacBook Pros.

Another feature that is new to the MacBook Pro 2018 is the T2 Chip which according to Apple promises enhanced security and brings the "Hey Siri" feature which was absent from previous models.

Apple isn't one for giving anyone a heads up on when it's going to launch new products, unless there's a big stage event involved, and given there are always rumours circulating about hardware refreshes, it's hard to tell when something real will arrive.

Apple Upgrades MacBook Pro With Improved Keyboard, True Tone Display, More

The 2018 edition of 13-inch MacBook Pro runs on a quad-core 8th-generation Intel Core processor. Each has four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports.

While the MacBook Pros themselves haven't been redesigned, they offer more than just spec bumps.

The 15-inch model will now have 32 GB DDR4 RAM and a larger battery making it a complete powerhouse.

Pre-orders for newer MacBook Pro models have started, and the shipment can be expected as early as tomorrow.

This new third-generation keyboard wasn't created to solve those issues, Apple says.

Processor (13inch): Quad-core Intel Core i5 and i7 processors up to 2.7 GHz with Turbo.
