It was like a training session: Mourinho plays down Manchester United draw

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho warned Anthony Martial that "you can not do whatever you want in life" as the disgruntled Frenchman eyes a departure from Old Trafford.

However, it hasn't been the most positive start from the Red Devils, with their second successive draw in America.

Hazard has always been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid and that speculation has heightened further this summer after the Blues missed out on a spot in next season's Champions League.

In June, Martial's agent publicly announced that the 22-year-old was pushing for a move away from Old Trafford and reports claim that he has rejected the offer of an improved contract from United.

He bagged many titles with United including EFL Cup, FA Cup and Europa League.

The pair, who got to the semi-finals of the World Cup with Belgium and England respectively, are not on United's pre-season tour as they take a post-tournament break.

Jose Mourinho says Antonio Valencia will again wear the captains armband next season for Man United.

"Good for Alexis", Mourinho said: "He needed this and he made a good effort, a good physical effort, which is important for him in this moment". "You can not do whatever you want in life".

After five days of training you need to play and it's good to play against a team that is at three days' distance from starting their Mexican league. I think in the first half we were the best team and had the best chances.

Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and English duo Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford were among those missing.

ESPN add that Mourinho is unwilling to keep a player who doesn't want to be at United.

Asked if he still wants to make more signings before the deadline on August 9, Mourinho said: 'One thing is what I want and another thing is what is going to happen'.

A statement released on Manchester United's official website read: "There is good news on the Alexis Sanchez front as the Chilean star has been given the green light to fly to the United States to join Tour 2018 presented by Aon".
