Alisson marks his first Liverpool training session with impressive save

After training, Alisson admitted that his first session has taught him a lot about Liverpool's playing style and his new teammates. Liverpool signed the 25-year-old Brazil global from AS Roma, smashing the world record for a goalkeeper in a deal worth up to 72.5 million euros ($84 million).

The midfielder was forced to sit out Liverpool's final two friendlies of their preseason tour of the United States with a stiff neck sustained during an eight-hour flight delay from Charlotte to New Jersey.

Liverpool's official Twitter account certainly got supporters buzzing after sharing a video of one of Alisson's save.

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to ensure their continued participation in the Champions League.

Liverpool will hand a debut to new goalkeeper Alisson Becker in Saturday's friendly with Napoli in Dublin, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Roberto Firmino are also set to feature and will be fit for the start of the Premier League season. We planned it a long, long time ago - it was still last season when we said we wanted to have this game, to make it possible for all the people in Liverpool to come to Anfield.

The club are hopeful the Guinea global can feature in their penultimate friendly of the summer on Saturday when they play Napoli in Dublin.

"I've had a good few resting days with my family but we all couldn't wait to get the new season under way soon".

"I will go somewhere on stage for a short interview before the game, the World Cup players will do the same".

"It's only my first day and I feel at home already!"

"I'm very happy to have them alongside me and to be a part of this project that Liverpool have and the great work they have been doing over recent years".

"I would like them to win silverware", McManaman told ESPN FC.
