Adam Pally, Neal McDonough Join Cast of Sonic the Hedgehog

Are you excited for the Sonic the Hedgehog movie? While Sonic will be created using computer animation, this is a live-action hybrid, and one character from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise will not be given the digital treatment.

Some context for the above tweet, this isn't the first iconic "blue" character from the 90s that Schwartz has voiced. And now he's getting his own movie, and the actor who will voice the speedy, blue hero has been revealed. He's also done voice work for the video game Turbo: Super Stunt Squad, and appeared in the television series, Parks and Recreation. A little known fact about Schwartz is that he was also credited under "Vocal Consultants" in Star Wars: The Force Awakens' BB-8. The news comes after the confirmation that Jim Carrey will indeed portray a live-action Dr. Eggman in the same film.

According to this report from Collider, Adam Pally and Neal McDonough will be joining the cast in yet undisclosed roles. Hopefully we'll be hearing more about this perplexing movie as production continues. (Fast and Furious series) will produce the adaptation which has Jeff Fowler (Blur Studio, Academy Award nominee for 2005 Best Animated Short Film Gopher Broke) set to direct and Deadpool's Tim Miller executive producing. Paramount will let Sonic run wild on November 15, 2019.
