Former Charger Colton Underwood announced as the next ‘Bachelor’

Kufrin sent Underwood packing after revealing that he loved her and that he maintains his virginity.

He said: 'I'm very excited.

It will be the third time Underwood has appeared in a "Bachelor"-franchise reality show, but the first time as its lead character".

Underwood's season of The Bachelor premieres in January 2019. "They've helped me grow and discover who I am and what I'm looking for in a wife".

When asked if he was hoping his season ends with a proposal, Colton said: "Absolutely". I think part of me wanted this to work so bad.

The titular "Bachelor" on the next season of the hit ABC show might be familiar to football fans, or at least those with an intimate knowlegde of training camp and practice squad rosters.

Colton Underwood shared a photo on Instagram showing him with Tia Booth during their hot dog party on Bachelor in Paradise.

"That's what I'm looking forward to the most, is being engaged and getting married shortly after that", he said Tuesday on "Good Morning America." He also isn't the only virgin to compete on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.

The Indiana native made it all the way to hometown dates, with Becca seemingly excited about where their relationship could go.

The 26-year-old was then eliminated from the show, clearly heartbroken by not being able to continue things with Becca. Colton appeared on "Bachelor in Paradise", where he rekindled his romance with Tia.

Tia will not be a contestant, and this means that all the willing ladies will still have a chance with Colton.

When he came clean to Tia about his feelings, they had a very emotional break up, with both deciding to leave Paradise in the aftermath. "And we'll see if ABC's ready for me to be the next 'Bachelor'".
