‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ Trailer

‘American Horror Story: Apocalypse’ Trailer

And what's coming is seemingly the end of the world.

The preview shows so many of our returning favorites - Jessica Lange! Well, that time is finally here, as the trailer for American Horror Story: Apocalypse has finally dropped, and it should have longtime fans giddy with excitement over what's coming. Paulson's Coven alter-ego, Cordelia, also arrives on the scene with fellow witches Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts) and Myrtle Snow (Frances Conroy), while Misty Day (Lily Rabe) also makes a cameo.

It's the eighth season of FX and Ryan Murphy's gothic anthology series, but whereas previous installments were able to stand on their own two feet (even if they had some recurring elements and characters scattered throughout), "Apocalypse" rips up the rulebook so that key figures from "Coven" and "Murder House" can inhabit the same universe.

Farmiga will also bee seen as Murder House resident Violet Harmon, with both Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton returning as her parents.

It was confirmed earlier this year that the next season of American Horror Story would be a crossover of Murder House (season one) and Coven (season three). New faces include Cody Fern, who is playing the part of Michael Langdon.

There's a look at Evan Peters and Billie Lourd's new characters, as well as old footage from older seasons. Although Apocalypse is shrouded in the usual mystery of American Horror Story, the teaser gives a glimpse at what fans can expect from the September 12 premiere and beyond.

Apocalypse also welcomes a group of newbies into the Horror Story family, including Dynasty legend Joan Collins, whose character endures a bit of turbulence in the trailer.
