Meghan Markle suits up in $3.7K look for charity event

Duchess Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were in attendance at the 2018 WellChild Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Tuesday (September 4) in London, England.

While The Queen reportedly isn't a fan, it's safe to say everyone else is loving Meghan Markle's new signature look: the sleek, black suit. During the Endeavour Awards in February (one of her earlier public engagements), she wore a tuxedo by quintessential British designer Alexander McQueen.

Meghan's beauty look at the event too meant business.

'I think she is aware that wearing a sexy dress, wouldn't have been appropriate for the audience and ceremony.

WellChild is a charity that supports children and young people battling serious illnesses, and Prince Harry has been a patron of the organization since 2007.

The charity's award night celebrates the "inspirational qualities of the UK's seriously ill children and young people, along with those who go that extra mile to make a difference to their lives, ' according to the charity's website".

Taken in December 2016 (a few months after she began dating Prince Harry), Meghan spent the Christmas holidays staying in LA with her close friend Benita Litt, her husband Darren Litt and their two daughters Rylan Litt, 7, and Remi Litt, 6, (yes, if only they had a son named Louis).

Harry will then present an award during the ceremony and also deliver a speech.

In July, Meghan chose a black Givenchy cigarette pantsuit, effortlessly styled with a white tee, during her trip to Ireland in July - which totally gave us major Rachel Zane vibes from her former TV show Suits.

She has been praised for her "great zest for life" and her "courage, strength and determination".

Winners included four-year-old Mckenzie Brackley, four, who had to learn to speak, swallow, eat and drink and move again due to acute flaccid paralysis.
