China Telecom Teases Upcoming iPhone 9 With Dual SIM Support

In fact, you should nearly expect it to happen whenever a new iPhone form-factor launches.

Bloggers have been pretty active in discussing what to expect from the event. Besides Apple's mainstream launches, a series of three iPhones might be announced: a larger version of the iPhone X, an updated one, and a cheaper one equipped with an LCD display and measuring 6.1 inches. The hardware maker is expected to introduce a ton of new hardware on Wednesday, ranging from new iPhones to Apple Watch smartwatches.

Apple is launching three new iPhones this Wednesday, the iPhone XS, the XS Max...and the iPhone...something or the other. "Now Mark Gurman believes that Apple will name the 6.1" 2018 iPhone as the iPhone Xr. As expected, the three new iPhones will come with Apple A12 chipset under the hood, but the amount of RAM is still a mystery. The iPhone XS is tipped to be priced at $899 and $999 for the 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch screen variants, respectively. It also features a glass rear panel.

The phones may raise the iPhone average sales price, boosting revenue and profit, while expanding the total number of active Apple devices to support sales of accessories and digital services. The publication said the new device will sport multiple colors and feature aluminum sides instead of stainless steel like the iPhone X. Either way, early reports suggest that this dual SIM functionality will be exclusive to China.

It's important to note that as these are not the final product (although Geskin eventually tweeted these were prototypes) we should take everything we see with a pinch of salt. The new models will probably still work with existing accessories.

While the date has not been confirmed, Ming-Chi Kuo says new iPad Pros should ship this fall. We may also see edge-to-edge displays, much like the design of the iPhone X.

Have a peek at the timeline below for additional tips and bits of information on the Apple Event that'll take place on September 12th, 2018. The flat white oval charges the iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods at the same time without having to plug them in. It would also have a single-lens camera, compared to the other two's dual-lens snapper. The upgrade could include better battery life, a hands-free Siri feature and be waterproof.

Before we explain what's coming, if you're looking to upgrade from anything from an iPhone 7 or older, you'll have to come to terms with the fact Apple's iconic home button is no more.
