Apple silent amid iPhone 'chargegate' complaints

PhoneArena has released an impressive tech analysis which notes that the charging the iPhone XS will take up to three hours and five minutes while charging the larger XS Max will boost the numbers to nearly 3 and a half hours, which is quite a significant period of time.

Apart from the charging issues, some Apple users have said that they are experiencing Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity issues.

The hardware is what keeps Apple top on the chart and with three new iPhones - iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR - the Cupertino-based giant has brought an fantastic camera, A12 Bionic processor and more storage - all screen and no buttons.

Here's what some users are facing: when the iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max is locked with the screen off, and then plugged into charge via a USB lightning cable, nothing happens. The charging sign only appears after tapping on the screen or pressing the standby button.

Both smartphones, the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are available in three storage variants and in three colour options of space gray, silver and a new "gold". iPhone XS 64GB and 256GB models are priced at Rs 99,900 and Rs 114,900 respectively.

A video posted to the Unbox Therapy channel on YouTube shows vlogger Lewis Hilsenteger demonstrating the issue.

There's also another method for shutting down iPhone X models that involves crawling through a couple of menu pages.

"I connect the lightning cable to my phone to charge and most of the time it automatically charges".

iPhone XS Max reportedly drops some 3D Touch components that are present in last year's iPhone X. Now it seems it's delivering another popular Chinese market feature in the iPhone XS, one that heavily modifies selfies to make users nearly look like they had a face lift.

The reviewer also calls out Apple for not including a fast charger even though the prices were bumped. I would lean heavily toward software issue. For Chinese users, a new, automatic beauty filter in the new iPhones might seem commonplace - it's others' backlash that's surprising.

Now here comes the big change - the device runs on Apple's latest A12 Bionic chipset with next-generation Neural Engine. In addition to that, the iPhone XR features an edge-to-edge notched display, TrueDepth Camera System (Face ID), a glass sandwich, wireless charging support, bokeh-enabled Portrait Mode, and Smart HDR.

This classic case has been specially designed for the iPhone XS without adding extra bulk.

The iPhone XS has been out for about a week now, so naturally, reviews and complaints are starting to roll in.
