Sony Michel Injury: Fantasy Impact of Patriots RB Carted Off

"You could see them doing some things that challenged us", said Mack of the Dolphins game.

Even if the execution wasn't flawless.

But Trubisky threw two interceptions, one when he tried to make a play on third and long and the ball appeared to bounce out of the arms of Josh Bellamy and into the waiting hands of Patriots cornerback J.C. Jackson. "I went up to grab it". There was pushing and pulling, everything like that.

"My legs just got taken out from under me", Braunecker said. "We talked about how many tackles we missed and some of that could have really changed the momentum of the game if we would have made some of those tackles. So after I caught it, I thought I had a chance, like I said, for a split-second, and once I felt a bunch of guys, I knew it was over". Four years later, it was even worse at Gillette Stadium, as the Patriots crushed Marc Trestman's team 51-23.

Gronkowski was limited in practice all week by an ankle injury, but was also listed with a back injury on Friday's injury report. It wasn't pretty but it was enough as the Patriots escaped Chicago with a 38-31 win to improve to 5-2. He was 25 of 36 for 277 yards and an interception. Following a Bears field goal, Cordarrelle Patterson fumbled the ensuing kickoff return when the ball was stripped by Nick Kwiatkoski.

Given Gronkowski's importance to New England's offense, bettors began to hop on the Bears shortly after the news broke.

Gordon caught four passes for 100 yards.

Michel had four carries for 22 yards before he left the game. The Bears fed the Patriots two touchdowns.

Sony Michel had seen nearly no real game reps until he debuted in Week 2, didn't hit his stride until Week 4 against Miami, and he left Sunday's game with a knee injury in the second quarter and never returned. However, with several key Patriots on the mend and Gronk potentially not even present, Khalil Mack and the rest of the Chicago defense should be licking their chops when it comes time to face these Pats. Coming off back-to-back weeks in which Trubisky showed off the deep-passing game, he was 1-of-10 passing on throws that traveled more than 20. There's a new standard, and we love how coach (Matt) Nagy has set the bar high for us.

"They present a lot of problems and definitely put ourselves in the hole", Bill Belichick said.

What the Bears liked from Trubisky, though, was how he switched to relying on Trey Burton (11 targets, nine catches, 129 yards, one touchdown) and stuck with Tarik Cohen (12 targets, eight catches, 69 yards, one touchdown). Kyle Van Noy picked up the football and ran 29 yards for the second special-teams touchdown of the game.
