Manchester United didn't play - David Luiz blasts Mourinho tactics

Ross Barkley's stoppage-time equaliser for Chelsea in Saturday's 2-2 Premier League draw at Stamford Bridge sparked a melee involving Ianni and Mourinho.

Willian has revealed that after the Ianni incident in Chelsea's 2-2 draw against Manchester United, everyone calmed down while walking down the tunnel.

Despite Ianni's actions, Mourinho said after the game he had accepted Chelsea's apology. We have got a lot of competition in our squad and when you get your chance you take it.

"I have seen the match on the bench, and now want to study the second half of the match".

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri apologised for the incident after the game but Ianni has been charged with improper conduct, while there will be no further action against Mourinho.

Discussing the fallout from the match, Sarri said: "Mourinho here has won and so I think that we need to respect him and to respect everybody who has won a trophy for the club".

United, who went a goal down in the first half when Antonio Rudiger headed the hosts in front, fought back after the break with two goals from Anthony Martial.

"I don't think he deserves to be sacked, I don't think he deserves anything more than the fact that his club was strong with him and he went through a situation that in the end he recognises that he was wrong. No class, no humility", said Neville on NBC Sports. In this type of football, United are better than us.

Former England striker Alan Shearer, meanwhile, praised Mourinho for his tactical changes at half-time after a tepid first period.

"What happened was with [Maurizio] Sarri's assistant and Sarri was first to come to me and say he would resolve the problem internally with him".

"I went into it too quick and over the years I felt I wanted to get them removed, so I went through the process in the last couple of years".

"They put balls into the box and got bodies into the box".

At the other end, United attempted to stop the outstanding player of the Premier League season so far with some rough treatment as Nemanja Matic and Ashley Young were shown early yellow cards for chopping down Eden Hazard.
