Trump will be in full campaign mode in final week before midterms

President Trump is expected to attend rallies across the country to boost Republican candidates in several states.

Trump already plans to host a MAGA (that's Make America Great Again) rally in Fort Myers on October 31.

"I'm proud and humbled to have President Obama, my friend and a true patriot, on the campaign trail here in Florida", Gillum said in a statement.

An Obama appearance somewhere in Florida with Gillum seemed likely, as the former president has been rallying Democrats in the Midwest. Southwest Florida and the Panhandle are two party strongholds where Republicans look to run up large vote margins. All are states the president carried in the 2016 election and have competitive races for either Congress or governor. Of course, blue wins in the upcoming election would allow Democrats to remain competitive in OH, and potentially change the direction of Ohio's electoral power in 2020. McCaskill is a top target for Republicans seeking to expand the party's slim 51-49 edge in the U.S. Senate.

Between Oct. 31st and November 5th, Trump will make stops in West Virginia, Indiana, Montana, Georgia, andTennessee, along with two stops each in Florida and Missouri.

The rally will be held at 5:30 p.m.at the Pensacola International Airport.

Gillum's campaign didn't respond when the Miami Herald asked last week if Obama would stump with the Florida gubernatorial candidate, who last week appeared with Hillary Clinton at fundraisers.

President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama will both head to Florida this week to push a couple of their parties' key candidates across the finish line.
