All 74 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Characters Have Been Revealed

Nintendo has confirmed the two final fighters of Super Smash Bros.Ultimate, an announcement that squashes recent rumors of a possible five character addition.

Additionally, a featured song as well as an overview of the world map of the game are highlighted. For those that get the game early - if bought physically you need to redeem the My Nintendo Gold Points - you'll get an extra free character in the shape of Piranha Plant, who'll appear a couple of months after launch.

Incineroar's attacks focus on a lot of wrestling type moves, due to its nature as a fighting type Pokemon.

Nintendo is keeping most of the mode's details under wraps until SSBU launches on Nintendo Switch, though it seems to tie into the Spirits mode. Wii U found many of its most exciting new fighters, including Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Strife and Bayonetta.

Last week's Grinch leak in particular, which gave some Smash fans hope that Banjoe Kazooie and other odd characters would be added into the game at release, turns out to have clearly been a hoax.

Speaking of Mii Fighters, they get a bunch of new outfits including Yiga Clan, Splatoon 2, Ribbon Girl, Chibi-Robo, Ray Mk III, and Toy-Con. All current Super Smash Bros. series amiibo figures are compatible with the game, and any fighter's amiibo figure from other series will also be supported. We also know that each new fighter will be a fleshed-out character in their own right, rather than just Echo versions of those already on the roster.

That being said, Nintendo did reveal Piranha Plant from the Mario franchise, a new downloadable fighter that will be offered outside of the Fighters Pass content.
