Tamera Mowry-Housley's Niece Is One of the Borderline Bar Shooting Victims

Tamera Mowry-Housley's Niece Is One of the Borderline Bar Shooting Victims

The couple has been frantically searching for their niece, Alaina Housley, who was inside the country-western bar when the gunfire erupted.

Mowry-Housley and her husband, former Fox News correspondent Adam Housley, confirmed their niece was a victim in the mass shooting in a statement.

Just last month, Mowry-Housley gushed over her niece and how much she had grown as a person. It is believed that Long killed himself after the shooting and his body was found in an office near the entrance of the bar.

"Our hearts are broken", they said. "We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for our privacy at this time".

The slain student was a freshman at Pepperdine University, according to The Hollywood Reporter. No one at the venue was armed.

Ashley had earlier tweeted: 'Ashley tweeted: 'My suitemate is still missing, she is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers, pls let me know if you know anything #Borderline'.

He noted that his niece's Apple devices showed the bar's dance floor as her current location. Also among the dozen people he killed, before winding up dead himself (possibly by suicide), was Sgt. Ron Helus, a 29-year veteran of the Ventura County Sheriff's department who had confronted the gunman. "I'm hoping I'm wrong", he told the newspaper. "Can you please DM me your information?' According to the friend Ashley, Alaina was the only one out of 'a handful of girls [who] went to line dance tonight", and is now unaccounted for.

"My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead", Housley told the Los Angeles Times.

Tamera responded to Ashley's tweet, informing her that she is Alaina's aunt and would like to know more about the situation.

Tia Mowry, who starred with her twin in the TV show "Sister Sister", posted an image of a young Alaina between the two Mowry sisters at one of their weddings. "Please pray. I am numb", she posted.

"Alaina Housely, we are praying".
