Video captures dramatic moment that caused Sawmill Fire

In the video, a display featuring the words "boy" and "girl" is set up in an area surrounded by dry brush.

In the video, which was taken by a party attendee and later released to The Arizona Daily Star, the sound of a gunshot is heard before the target explodes.

The fire burned 47,000 acres. "Dickey immediately reported the fire to law enforcement, co-operated, and admitted that he started the fire". A male voice twice shouts "Start packing up!" "Dickey had placed Tannerite, a highly explosive substance, inside the target, intending for it to detonate when shot by a high-velocity firearm bullet", federal prosecutors explained.

Speaking in court, he told the judge: "It was a complete accident".

The fire burned for nearly two weeks.

Border Patrol Agent Dennis Dickey has pleaded guilty to starting an Arizona fire that caused millions of dollars in damage, when his gender reveal celebration went terribly wrong. He also will be sentenced to 5 years of probation and agreed to participate in a public service announcement with the U.S. Forest Service concerning the cause of the Sawmill fire.

Dickey will pay $220,000 in restitution for the fire.

A news release from the USA attorney's office said Agent Dickey will make an initial payment of $100,000, then make monthly payments after that.

One such gender reveal has however been discovered as the source of a 2017 wildfire in Arizona.
