'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' Clip: Miles Morales Meets Spider-Gwen

Sony has released a free mobile augmented reality experience based on its upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film.

In the clip, Peter Parker (Jake Johnson) and Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) are on the run after nabbing what appears to be a CPU from some bad guys. Bek Smith is set to write that one, and although it's not clear exactly which women the story will focus on, there's a chance that it could include Spider-Gwen (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld), who makes her debut in Spider-Verse. Other female heroes who could be included are Spider-Woman, Madame Web, Spider-Girl and Silk. With a little hair flip and a smirk, she immediately captures my heart - much in the way her fan-favorite character captured the hearts of thousands of comic book readers. What's more interesting is the second film that's being described as an "all-female spin-off", according to THR. While no characters have been confirmed yet, it seems likely that Gwen Stacey, who plays a role in Into the Spider-Verse, will be involved. Phil Lord & Christopher Miller, the brains behind the Lego movies, orchestrated Into The Spider-Verse, and will continue to help expand the animated superhero universe. Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.

Spider-Verse (out December 14) centers on the Afro-Latino teenager Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore), who earns superpowers after being bitten by a radioactive spider.
