Amy Jackson has played an important role in the film, which has music by AR Rahman. The Hindi dubbed version has impressively netted around 20 CR on its opening day. However, some think that the story written by Shankar wasn't up to the mark.

Noted trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the box-office numbers of Hindi version of "2.0". With theatres full for the first day first show of 2.0, we caught up with many fans and here's how they reacted after watching the Shankar film. On the opening day of its release, the movie received huge occupancy rate across the nation including single screens and multiplexes despite releasing on a non-holiday and non-festival day.

Rajinikanth starrer "2.0", that is a sequel to his flick "Robot" has collected a whopping Rs 2.64 crore in Chennai pushing Vijay's "Sarkar" (that had managed to collect 2.37 crore on its first day) to the second place. Although the film has declined on Day 2, the biz should gather momentum on Day 3 [Sat] and Day 4 [Sun]... Thursday ₹20.25 cr. India biz.
