The recalled tampons were manufactured between October 2016 and October 2018 and distributed between October 17, 2016 and October 23, 2018 throughout the us and Canada, the company said.

The recalled brand is Kimberly-Clark's U by Kotex Sleek Tampons with regular absorbency due to a defect that could impact the performance of this product. In some cases, users had to seek medical attention to remove pieces of broken tampons left inside their bodies.

A voluntary recall has been issued for Kotex tampons after reports of pieces of the tampon breaking off in the body. They were distributed between October 17, 2016, and October 23, 2018, and sold by retailers across the USA and Canada.

According to the company's statements, some customers have reported that the tampons unravel upon removal.

Retails have been alerted to remove the recalled products from shelves and post a notification in their stores.
