Steelers' Rooney: 'Hard to envision' Brown staying

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown took to Instagram Live on Friday to give an update on his situation with the team. You can probably rule out, for instance, new Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians from any provisional trade-destination list, as he and Brown aren't necessarily on the best of terms. Rumors began swirling about a disagreement between the receiver and the team's franchise quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, after Pittsburgh decided to make Brown inactive against the Cincinnati Bengals. But there's no sense on closing the door on anything today.

"As we sit here today, it's hard to envision that".

Beyond that, Rooney said the team is leaving all of its options open regarding Brown, which would mean the team will likely have to attempt to trade him. As Dulac pointed out, Brown is slated to receive a $2.5-million bonus from the club on March 17 and logic tells us the Steelers would more than likely target that as their decision date. "If we decide something has to be done, we'll figure out how to deal with that". We'll see how things play out.

Rooney told Gulac that there was more than just one incident that led to the receiver walking out of a practice and missing post-season meetings.

Shortly after Rooney's comments went viral on Twitter, Brown posted a photo of himself with the Steelers owner along with the caption "Good Business".

The high odds on Atlanta seem a little bit surprising given that the Falcons have Pro Bowl wide receiver Julio Jones as well as two proven weapons with Mohamed Sanu and Calvin Ridley.

Brown ranks second in Steelers history behind Hines Ward in career receptions (837), receiving yards (11,207) and touchdown catches (74).
