Suspended Pandya, Rahul To Be Sent Home; Kohli Condemns Comments

Known to brew the coffee with celebrity gossips and revelations, the show has stooped a new low with its latest episode that had Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on the couch.

"The CoA first sent out a notice to both players concerned to which the players responded with an apology".

Jasprit Bumrah, the top-ranked ODI bowler in the world, who dismantled Australia in the recent Test series, has been rested from the three one-dayers.

According to a statement by the BCCI, the two players will now return to India and face an inquiry for misconduct and indiscipline, initiated under Rule 41 of the BCCI Constitution. We suffer from periods five days every month and even then we have to dance, go to an office, and take care of the children.

Pandya, 25, and Rahul, 26, were speaking on popular celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan, which is hosted by Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar.

"The team management has told Pandya that he is not playing tomorrow as they are yet to get a final directive".

Both the players are facing flak for making "sexist, racist and misogynistic" comments on the show, which was aired last Sunday on Star World and Hotstar.

"Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show". He also made culturally appropriative comments like he was from "Black culture" which is why he liked to concentrate on how women moved in nightclubs rather than asking their names.

Speaking with the media ahead of the match, Indian cricket team's current captain Virat Kohli addressed the controversy: "We, as the Indian cricket team and responsible cricketers, don't align with those views". In no way did I mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments.

"From the Indian cricket team point of view, any inappropriate comments that are made in that scenario are something that we definitely don't support", he said.

On the show, Pandya had boasted about hooking up with multiple women and being open about it with his parents.

Kohli is yet to hear from India's board whether Pandya, a gun allrounder who is normally an automatic selection in India's one-day team, is free to play Saturday's SCG series opener.
