Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 is powering the handset, and around back you'll find an impressive 48MP + 5MP dual camera combo. It's the second smartphone after Honor View 20 to have the latest 48MP sensor from Samsung or Sony. Lei Jun has confirmed that the phone features 2.5D glass on both the front and rear sides. The selfie camera is tucked in the small waterdrop notch at the top of the 6.3-inch display that has a 2340x1080 resolution. It is fueled by the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-center SoC combined with Adreno 512 designs, and 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM choices. This can be expanded up to 256Gb via microSD. Ultimately, sensors on board the Redmi Note 7 incorporate spinner, accelerometer, remove sensor, electronic compass, unique finger impression sensor, surrounding light sensor, vibration engine, and infrared sensor.

Xiaomi has outdone itself with Redmi Note 7. The Redmi Note 7 comes with two cameras on the back which are placed in a vertical fashion.

The Redmi Note 7 starts at 999 Yuan (about Rs 10,000) for the 3GB/32GB variant. This is the highest number of megapixel count Xiaomi has ever put on a phone. As for the connectivity options, we get Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS and a USB Type-C port.

It's worth mentioning that Xiaomi is all set to spin its Redmi line-up into a separate, independent brand at an event in China tomorrow. According to the Tweet from Ishan Agarwal - a reliable tipster, the new smartphone from Redmi will be launched on January 10 at an event in Beijing, China. As per the Geekbench listing the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 will come with 6GB of RAM in it. It will be available in Blue, Gold, and Twilight Black color options.

It is backed by a 4000mAh non-removable battery and with the QuickCharge 4.0 support, the device can be fully charged in 1 hour 40 minutes.

On the other hand, the high-end variant of the Redmi 6A which comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage will be selling for Rs 6,999.
